Incentives

Financial incentives are available to soften the price of your purchase.

The US government offers a 30% tax credit towards the purchase of wind turbines smaller than 100kW. Several states have additional incentives available. The Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency lists the incentives state-by-state. US customers can follow this link to the appropriate form for residential energy credits. Several other countries also offer incentives.

LEED CERTIFICATION

The LEED® Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. Installing NCE wind turbines on new or existing project sites provides on-site renewable energy which complies with the requirements for credits of several LEED Rating Systems.

If you are seeking certification, please scan the appropriate section below for information concerning the LEED benefit of NCE's wind turbines. You can find further information on the US Green Building Council website.

LEED FOR CORE & SHELL RATING SYSTEMS

For buildings seeking certification under the LEED 2009 for Core & Shell Rating Systems, utilizing NCE wind turbines contributes toward satisfying EA Credit 2 "On-Site Renewable Energy". Projects which meet the threshold for on-site renewable energy for 1% of their annual energy load earn 4 Points.

LEED FOR EXISTING BUILDINGS

For buildings seeking certification under the LEED 2009 for Existing Buildings: Operations & Management Rating System, utilizing NCE wind turbines contributes toward satisfying EA Credit 4 "On-Site and Off-Site Renewable Energy".

Point values for this credit are achieved for meeting minimum renewable energy percentage thresholds as follows:

LEED FOR HOMES

For buildings seeking certification under the LEED for Homes Rating System, utilizing NCE wind turbines contributes toward satisfying EA Credit 10 "Renewable Energy" which can earn up to 10 points. 1 point is earned for every 3% of the annual electrical load that is supplied from renewable sources.

LEED FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION

For buildings seeking certification under the LEED 2009 for New Construction or LEED 2009 for Schools Rating Systems, utilizing NCE wind turbines contributes toward satisfying EA Credit 2 "On-Site Renewable Energy". Point values for this credit are achieved for meeting minimum renewable energy percentage thresholds as follows:
